When you folks create a site for a small company, how do you handle this?
Do you register everything in the client’s name and let them handle
billing, renewals, etc? Or do you register in your own name and call them
when payments are due?
Assuming the client has not a clue about websites, hosting or domain
registration.

Hi
This is driving me ABSOLUTELY NUTS!
How can I keep the rows & columns of data that I am copying and pasting
off a website (my own in this case!), into a spreadsheet… WITHOUT
taking all the data formatting?
If I paste out of Ms IE v6 into Ms Excel (2003), it does at least keep
the
columns (something that doesnt happen if I paste out of FireFox, fwiw).
But it pastes with all the formatting & URLs etc – which I DONT WANT!
OK, I can save as .CSV, close, 2 warnings, and re-open but when done
REPEATEDLY this is a damned nuicance!
Any suggestions?

Hi guys,
I’ve got a problem again, pesky css. I have a rounded box for a login. Its a
wrapper div containing three divs stacked on top of each other. In IE its
fine, but in FF the divs are seperated. I’ve tried IMG{display:block}, I’ve
tried IMG{vertical align:bottom}. I’ve set margins to 0, i’ve set line
height to 0. Now what?

Dear all!
Does anybody know a good tool which I can use for logging klicks on
banners or on links which I have on my website?
Would be great if it would be a server-side piece of software.
Any ideas?
Greetings,
Lars

I estimate that my sites do about 100-200 gigs per month of traffic
(closer to 100 than to 200, I think).
I have less than a year left of contract with my colocated hosting
provider.
I want to start thinking of what to do after my contract expires, and
want to find out what would be a sensible current rate for colocated
hosting (linux if that matters), and per gig of traffic.

In the checkout process, our shopping cart seems to have a high number
of exits. Is there an industry average for exits in the checkout
process? I’d like to find out if we have a higher than normal
percentage of exits. Is there a resource available where I can find
this kind of information?

Greetings NG,
Has anyone here had any problems with a URL registration co.
re-directing your traffic from your web-site to thiers?
I used a registar that promised to send weekly notices about my
expiration, they only sent 2 with the last one being a month before the
expiration date. I figured I’d get 4 more notices and did not re-new it
then.
they said:
"If you don’t want to get any more notices regarding these domains
you can remove them from the reminder list. However, as long as you
have at least one domain that is set to expire within 60 days you will
receive this weekly report."
The day after it expired they re-directed my traffic to thier site….
approx 6000 visitors and many many customers. I had several major
complaints and lost a few grand I know about.
Also, after much effort, I was in the process of getting an industry
superstar to publish on my site, and the first and only time he viewed
my site it was being re-routed by them.
This is a registar in the top 5 in that industry.
What should I do?
Has this ever happened to you?
Thanks
Joe
