How do I edit text within a gif utilizing a graphics program like Paint Shop

I have a small site and get about get about 1,000 page views a week. What I’m looking for
is more daily feeds. I already have some "Cartoon of The Day" feeds, these come directly
from their web site to mine via <img scr="http://www.whatever.com/todays/cartoon.gif">
links. These keeps them coming back. Plus I have the standard "news" feeds Now I ,like all
other webmasters, want more STUFF (clean stuff please) we are a family web site.
Things like maybe a "Poem of the Day", "Joke of the Day" or an "Inspirational saying/verse
of the Day"
basically any kind of direct feed/link.(please don’t confuse direct link with links, these
must come "from their site To My Site") I have plenty of links to other places.
Plus if you have any other ideas (please no spam/banners/search engines as most don’t
work) please let me know.
