I very new at this, but managed to get a page up, and several other people can see it with no problem. I used Frontpage. My dad is using Compuserve on a 486. He’s really new to the net and doesn’t know what specific browser he’s using, I guess whatever compuserve’s default is (it’s not Netscape or Explorer). Most sites he can see, but a few he can’t.
The error it’s giving him when he tries to go to my page is:
"Host header required – Browser did not send HOST HTTP header field. HTTP/1.0 404 object not found."
My question is, at which end is the problem at? Is there anything I can do to my page so he can see it? I have all the !DOCTYPE, HTML, HEAD, TITLE, etc. tags in there in the proper place. I don’t know what else to do.
Any help you all could give me would be appreciated.
Thanks
Goofus,
It’s possible that his old browser might not support 32-bit. If this is the
case then you have no major problem with others getting the same error
messages.
