Hello,
I recently registered another domain on behalf of a client through the
Network Solutions website and through some sort of error I suppose, the
registrant of the dmain came out to be MY company and not my client’s. I
cannot seem to get through to anybody at Network or Internic.
What I did grasp at the INternic site is that I would have to pop for a
notary to witness the changover. Can this be true?
I seek out your wisdom!
Thanks
Andy

Absolutely true, Andy. Details are at
http://rs.internic.net/faq/transfer.html
Part of the instructions about transferring the registrant info says:
"A domain name registration is essentially a service contract
between the Registrant and Network Solutions. The name of the
Registrant appearing in the registration contract is therefore
much more than a casual identifier – it’s a legal term that
defines the parties to the contract. Because the Registrant’s
name is a contractual term, all changes must comply with legal
formalities."
