ISP or web hosting service?

Hi:

Are there any significant advantages of using an ISP vs. a Web Hosting
service to house a site?

Thanks,

Chris

The main advantage to using separate companies IMO is that they can
    concentrate on their specialised trade.
My opinion is that if an ISP provides a web hosting service then they are
unlikely to provide a *good* support service for their secondary line of
business… keep ‘em separate I say.
The web hosting company I represent has a support that *is* 2nd to none and
are ranked in the top 5% when it comes to speed.

Yes, usually web hosting companies use their servers and bandwidth
exclusively for hosting making your site load faster.

Also hosting providers offer many hosting options that ISPs
simply don’t have the resources to offer.  See
    http://www.netfluid.com ‘company info’ section describing
the advantage of a hosting company.
