Google although I created it many months ago :-(   What should I do?

Yes true.  I should have said that the site is not in Google with the
French keyword "matériaux anciens" which is the most common for what I sell.

And I do not know what to do to change this situation…

    Again, yes it is:

    http://www.google.com/search?q=%22mat%C3%A9riaux+anciens%22+site%3Aww...

If you don’t restrict it to your domain there are still about 130,000 hits –
that’s a lot of rivals, and you have to be better then the majority of them
before you show up early in the results.

Thank you for your help!  Is there a way for me to know where I am among
these 130,000 rivals.  As far as I can see I am not among the first 1,000.

Also, this keyword is in my contents and my meta tags so I do not know
    what more I could do…

It’s in the title and meta tags, but I can’t find it anywhere in the
body of the index page. You need to have it there, preferably both in
a header and in the main body text, to get better ranking for that
    search term.

Meta tags do not give a web site high rankings.  You should get inbound
links from other related web sites.  High-quality, related inbound links
will boost your rankings. Right now you don’t have any good web sites
    linking to you.

Also, it often takes at least 6 months to show up in Google at all.

Yes but where can I find good web sites willing to link to my site?  I
cannot ask my competitors and I asked a few related sites but got no
    answer…
